Bernie is our Milltown centre manager.

She has been in childcare since 2007 and has previously managed other creches. Bernie started in Daisy Chain in 2015. Bernie has been in childcare for 16 years and has worked with children of all ages over the years. Bernie has level 5 and level 6 inclusion co-ordinator.

My name is Alaia, I have a Level 8 degree in pre-primary school education, and I have worked in childcare for over 2 years now.

I enjoy working in childcare because I love teaching children and learning about them. They all are so different.

In my spare time, I like to read, paint, dance, and watch movies with my friends. I love to stay active and travel around to learn about different countries and their culture.

My name is Jo, I am a Deputy manager here in Milltown centre. I have a Level 5&6, F.A.R., HASSAP, Fire safety, Health &Safety certs.

 I have been in Daisy Chain since 2018 and love working here because I get to see all children’s excitement as they achieve huge milestones in their lives and how they progress through the years.

My name is Manuel, I have worked 5 years in childcare here in Dublin. I have a level 8 in primary education focused on physical development and education.

I love working for Daisy Chain because it is a place of love and care for children, it promotes and encourages children to be themselves, where child’s voice is always a priority.

This ethos has been something I’ve been looking for since I came to Ireland to improve my experience working with young children.

I love nature and going for hikes and enjoy trying different dishes from other countries.

 I have played basketball for many years, and it is a huge part of my life. I also trained in boxing for 5 years and it is my second favourite sport.

My name is Marcella and I am deputy manager in Milltown Montessori side. I joined Daisy Chain in December 2004.

I have a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Montessori Education, completed First Aid, Children Development and Sensory processing, and other courses to expand my knowledge and understanding of children’s development.

I always knew that I would like to work with children. When I came to Ireland (many moons ago 😉) I started to study Montessori and here I am many years later. I love to see every child’s full potential and help them through their stages of development.

I never thought I would work for Daisy Chain this long, but I love it as much as I loved it on my first day when I joined this company. 

I like playing pranks and just having a laugh in general. I enjoy going for walks in my free time.

My name is Matea, I have finished bachelor’s degree in early years education and childcare. I have over 8 years’ experience working in childcare.

Both my mum and grandmother had worked in childcare, and always felt that this would be my calling too. Teaching children of any age, seeing them grow and develop brings me a lot of joy and sense of pride.

In my free time I enjoy drawing, camping, horse-riding, and boxing.

My name is Marta, I have 25 years’ experience in childcare. I have BA honours degree in Montessori education.

I love working for Daisy Chain it is a friendly place and have a great comradery between the staff and the mangers/owners. And of course, I love Montessori and working with children.

My name is Rosana and I started working in Daisy Chain 5 years ago. I have level 8 childcare qualifications from Spain, and I completed Montessori course here in Dublin few months ago.

I love working for Daisy Chain because they care about staff progression and development, company really cares about children and their wellbeing, children and their needs always come first, which helps them to grow, learn and become more independent.

I attended this creche when I was a kid- great memories from my childhood and I still have my scrapbook from my years in Eden Centre.

I am very sports orientated and play netball in my free time. I also enjoy watching all other sports.

My hobbies and interests are spending time with my 2 boys and going on our family days out. I enjoy socialising with friends and going for walks in the park.

My name is Taliane. I have worked in childcare since 2008, and I joined Daisy Chain in 2022.

I have graduated in Pedagogy and a postgraduate in school management. I love working in childcare because you can see every child’s development and know that I am a big part of it and helping them in their journey.

In my free time, I like to do sports, visit new places and relax.

Hi, I'm Rebecca and I'm a fully qualified Montessori Teacher with over 12 years’ experience in the childcare industry.

I have been a Centre Director for 6 years and have truly enjoyed creating a positive and stimulating environment for both the children and staff whilst incorporating the Montessori philosophy throughout my service.

My main priority is to ensure we provide a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for all the children and educators to thrive in. 

I started working at Daisy Chain in January this year. The staff, children and families have made me feel so welcome. I have loved every minute of it!

In my free time, I like to go on long walks in nature. I love reading and also practice yoga regularly. 

Anita is our Deputy manager in Stepaside. She also works as a pod cover for Wobbler room.

Anita has worked for Daisy Chain since 2015 and have over 8 years’ experience working with children. 

She has QQI level 5 and currently studying for her level 6 and has Paediatric First Aid and Manual Handling. 

Anita has also completed a course on the Marte Meo method. She is a Covid compliance officer and a Deputy Designated Liaison person for Child protection in the centre.

In her spare time Anita like to be active and do a lot of Voluntary work.

My name is Lisa. I have worked in Daisy Chain for 13 years as a childcare assistant across all four centres.

 I have a great interest in childcare and have developed a lot throughout my years here. I am fire safety trained, health and safety trained, and I have my Special Needs Assistant certificate.

I have a daughter and enjoy spending my time with her and doing activities together. I enjoy travelling, going for walks and spending some free time with my friends.

My name is Laura, I’m from Spain and have been working in childcare in Ireland for 2 years.

I worked as a nanny for more than 3 years before I joined Daisy Chain. I have my university degree from Spain which I am very happy to put in practice since I moved to Ireland.

I like working for Daisy Chain and childcare because it gives me the opportunity to watch children change and develop to their full potential.

Children make me feel young and sometimes make me change the way I see things in life.

I am a quiet person who loves to spend time at home with a good book or watching some TV. Sometimes I like to get a little crazy and spend hours dancing.

My name is Shóna and I completed my Montessori education studies in St.Nicholas Montessori college in Dun Laoghaire.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time in college studying and learning about early years education in Ireland, child development and working with children during my placements.

As a result I have developed a great passion for teaching young children and creating an environment where they can grow and develop trough the Montessori Method.

I live locally just outside Enniskerry village. I have a great love for the outdoors and animals having grown up in the Wicklow Mountains, I also love to cook, bake and read and I plan to bring all these activities to the Montessori classroom.
