We have a great team here in Milltown with some of our staff being with us, 10, 15 and 19 years! Bernie, Jo and Marcella alone have more than 50 years of experience in Childcare together. We have seventeen staff members in total, and they all have a minimum qualification of QQI level 5 with thirteen of our staff having Level 8 (degree) in early years education. They all are very creative, love to travel and enjoy singing and dancing with kids.
Bernie is our Milltown centre manager.
She has been in childcare since 2007 and has previously managed other creches. Bernie started in Daisy Chain in 2015. Bernie has been in childcare for 16 years and has worked with children of all ages over the years. Bernie has level 5 and level 6 inclusion co-ordinator.

My name is Alaia, I have a Level 8 degree in pre-primary school education, and I have worked in childcare for over 2 years now.
I enjoy working in childcare because I love teaching children and learning about them. They all are so different.

My name is Marcella and I am deputy manager in Milltown Montessori side. I joined Daisy Chain in December 2004.
I have a Bachelor Degree of Arts in Montessori Education, completed First Aid, Children Development and Sensory processing, and other courses to expand my knowledge and understanding of children’s development.
I always knew that I would like to work with children. When I came to Ireland (many moons ago 😉) I started to study Montessori and here I am many years later. I love to see every child’s full potential and help them through their stages of development.
I never thought I would work for Daisy Chain this long, but I love it as much as I loved it on my first day when I joined this company.
I like playing pranks and just having a laugh in general. I enjoy going for walks in my free time.

I attended this creche when I was a kid- great memories from my childhood and I still have my scrapbook from my years in Eden Centre.
I am very sports orientated and play netball in my free time. I also enjoy watching all other sports.
We have 16 staff working in this centre who are all fully qualified and provide great love, care, and education for the children in their care. We have a number of staff who have been in our centre between 15 to 11 years. Terenure team are a bit of a ‘foodies’ and enjoy trying new dishes from different countries, which is convenient because there are five different nationalities working in this centre- Irish, Portuguese, Polish, Spanish, and Brazilian and they like to share their favourite traditional dishes to each other.

We have 9 staff in this centre and they all have a minimum qualification of QQI level 5 and up to Level 8. They are a very adventurous and competitive team. Hi, I'm Rebecca and I'm a fully qualified Montessori Teacher with over 12 years’ experience in the childcare industry.
I have been a Centre Director for 6 years and have truly enjoyed creating a positive and stimulating environment for both the children and staff whilst incorporating the Montessori philosophy throughout my service.
My main priority is to ensure we provide a safe, stimulating, and supportive learning environment for all the children and educators to thrive in.
I started working at Daisy Chain in January this year. The staff, children and families have made me feel so welcome. I have loved every minute of it!

Anita is our Deputy manager in Stepaside. She also works as a pod cover for Wobbler room.
Anita has worked for Daisy Chain since 2015 and have over 8 years’ experience working with children.
She has QQI level 5 and currently studying for her level 6 and has Paediatric First Aid and Manual Handling.
Anita has also completed a course on the Marte Meo method. She is a Covid compliance officer and a Deputy Designated Liaison person for Child protection in the centre.
In her spare time Anita like to be active and do a lot of Voluntary work.

I have a great interest in childcare and have developed a lot throughout my years here. I am fire safety trained, health and safety trained, and I have my Special Needs Assistant certificate.
I have a daughter and enjoy spending my time with her and doing activities together. I enjoy travelling, going for walks and spending some free time with my friends.
